Log homes — solid wood houses

Log homes, cabins and cottages from solid logs — traditional construction with modern standards.

Log homes — solid wood houses

We specialise in building wooden houses from solid logs (log homes, log cabins). Unlike timber-frame construction, here the walls are entirely of solid wood — logs or laminated timber 80–200 mm thick. Such houses are characterised by natural appearance, longevity, excellent thermal properties and a comfortable indoor climate. We design and build everything from small weekend cabins and cottages to larger family homes, wooden hotels and mountain lodges.

Solid logs (traditional log cabin)

Classic log cabin from hand or machine-crafted logs. Each log is profiled and joined in the traditional way (tongue-and-groove, dovetail).

  • Log diameter 16–28 cm
  • Natural ventilation (wood breathes)
  • Authentic rustic look

Laminated wood (blockhaus)

A modern take on log homes — walls consist of laminated profiles (glued timber) that are dimensionally more stable and have better thermal properties.

  • Thickness 80–200 mm
  • Flat or rounded profiles available
  • Less shrinkage than solid logs

Wood regulates humidity, creating a comfortable living environment

Regulations & permits

Building a wooden house requires a building permit or notification depending on the floor area and intended use of the structure. We assist with document preparation and guide you through the process. Structures are designed and built by certified professionals in accordance with current standards for timber buildings (HRN EN 1995, HRN EN 14080).
