Electrical protection testing

Measurements and verification of protective measures to HRN standards — measurement reports.

Purpose of testing

Electrical protection testing is carried out to verify the integrity of shock protection and earthing. Per HRN HD 60364 and the Electrical Installations Regulation, installations must be regularly inspected and tested.

Earth resistance

Verification that earthing meets maximum values (HRN standards).

RCD testing

Trip time and nominal residual current (30mA, 300mA...).

Fault loop impedance

Ensures the protective device disconnects within the required time.

PE conductor continuity

Verification of the earthing path integrity (protective conductor).

Insulation testing

Insulation resistance between conductors and earth.

Polarity and connections

Verification of correct connections and polarity.

Standards and norms

All measurements are carried out with calibrated instruments and results are recorded in an official measurement report, which is part of the building's technical documentation.
